Skilled Nursing: AMNA provides a comprehensive menu of skilled nursing services ranging from IV therapy, wound care, parentheral feeding, blood pressure monitoring to medication management.
Psychiatric Nursing: Provide care and treatment for patients of all ages dealing with mental illness or mental distress, such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, psychosis, depression or dementia.
Cardiac Care: Our comprehensive cardio-pulmonary program is designed to provide valuable tools to make long term stability easier. The iHeart program is specifically designed to service patients with chronic conditions such as COPD and CHF.
Disease & Pain Management: AMNA employs an interdisciplinary approach to relieving chronic and acute pain, easing suffering and improving the quality of life and ability to function via medication management, stress reduction, relaxation, exercise and/or massage.
Physical Therapy: AMNA uses physical therapy to identify and maximize quality of life and movement potential within the spheres of promotion, prevention, treatment/intervention and rehabilitation. This encompasses physical, psychological, emotional, and social well being. Our health care professionals will provide treatment to individuals to develop, maintain and restore maximum movement and function throughout life. This includes providing treatment in circumstances where movement and function are threatened by aging, injury, surgical or environmental factors
Speech Therapy: Assessment and treatment of speech disorders. Treatment includes specific exercises designed to improve speech skills, language skills, and oral motor skills to improve communication.
Occupational Therapy: Our occupational therapist will help individuals develop physical skills that will aid in daily living; our plan of care focuses on coordination of movement, the teaching of how to perform activities of daily living as independently as possible, or how to maximize independence in the case of disability.
Social Services: Assisting the patient and/or caregiver and family with social, emotional, and environmental issues relating to the patient's and/or caregiver's health problems.
GI Disorders: Established in order to provide a specialized clinical program for the diagnosis and treatment of patients with Gastric Ulcer, GI Tract, Ileostomy,Crohns Disease, Colostomy and paralytic/dysfunctional GI Tract.
Alzheimers Program: Aids assisting patients with Alzheimers disease and related dementias receive intensive training focusing on psychosocial and behavioral aspects of Alzheimers disease. The program is designed to equipt the patient and their families with resources offerred within their communites through support groups and/or associations.
Bariatrics Program: The Bariatric program is designed for bariatric weight loss surgery patients. A registered nurse focuses on lifestyle changes, teaching diet, exercise, woundcare and pain management according to the bariatric surgeons instructions.
Total Joint Replacement Program: AMNA's Total Joint Replacement homecare program was developed to enable patients who have undergone joint replacement surgeries to regain as much flexion and extension of the operated joint as possible and achieve maximum functional independence.
Pediatrics: AMNA's pediatric program is designed to allow our "little patients" to be cared for at home. Most services mentioned above can be rendered to your child through a certified pediatric nurse.
The Diabetes Program: Includes educating the patient and family about medication, administering insulin, how to monitor blood sugar levels, important nutritional factors and when to seek medical attention. With adequate education, medication management and multi-disciplinary care, patients with diabetes can be provided with appropriate and timely interventions to avoid preventable complications and hospitalizations.
The Lymphedema Program: First time patients will have an evaluation to determine whether they have primary or secondary Lymphedema. After the evaluation, the Lymphedema team works with the patient to determine the best treatment that will ultimately reduce swelling and discomfort.
Nephrology: AMNA's Nephrology program offers a full consultative service for the evaluation of patients with acute and chronic kidney disease, fluid end electrolyte disorders, hypertension, and kidney stone disease. We offer both hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis. The renal transplant service evaluates patients for transplantation and is responsible for their management after surgery in conjunction with their referring physicians.
Palliative Care Program: Our staff helps coordinate discharge services with the appropriate home care programs for the patient to receive at their place of residence. Our objective is to ensure the full support of everyone during the transition and to maximize the patients level of comfort.
Wound Care Program: Our objective is to implement a plan of care that heals patients wounds faster and more effectively by using specialized products and techniques. AMNAs woundcare team is led by our certified wound care nurse. A comprehensive assesment is completed on wound, skin or Ostomy patients to identify causative factors.
Private Duty/Companion Care: With our quality respite care you and your family will have support to take occasional breaks from your care giver responsibilities, enabling you to run your errands, relax, relieve stress and prevent burnout. AMNA offers a wide range of support services including but not limited to: bathing, dressing, meals, prescription pickup, care for the bedridden, housekeeping, transportation or companionship and overnight care. Caregivers are screened and pass a criminal background check and are evaluated on a regular basis. Our staff represents a diverse group of cultures and languages to respect your preferences and meet your needs.
